Overview
The Khumbu region, which is home to the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest, is on many people’s bucket lists. It provides a range of choices for hikes and mountaineering excursions. One of them is the Everest Three Passes trek. The Everest Three Pass trek is a modification of the trek in the Khumbu trails. It enables hikers to traverse three important high-altitude passes in the Khumbu area. You may even be able to get to the base camp of Mount Everest. The location of the world’s highest point is well worth seeing.
Namache Bazaar is one of the fascinating sites in Khumbu that you may see on the trip. Furthermore, you can visit a number of isolated Buddhist villages. You come across a variety of unusual plants and animals when hiking the trails of Sagarmatha National Park.
The trek will provide views that are out of this world. On this walk, you’ll get a close look at Everest as well as a number of other Himalayas in the area. You’ll also be able to see mountains like Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and others. As you negotiate the demanding three passes of the trek, they will appear to be rather ethereal.
Over the course of 16 days, the hike will pass through several areas of Khumbu. The hike begins with our departure from Kathmandu towards Lukla. We subsequently wrapped things up by heading back to Kathmandu.
You will start your adventure by taking a beautiful flight from Kathmandu or Ramechhap (Manthali Airport) to Lukla. After that, you will walk through alpine forests and over a few suspension bridges as you make your way to Phakding. Follow the path from Phakding toward Namche Bazaar. We will then walk towards Dingboche, a Sherpa town, via Tengboche and Pangboche. You will cross the Imja Tse valley on your way from Pangboche to Chukkung. From Chukkung, we will now travel to Lobuche via the trek’s first pass, Kogma La Pass.
We will now go from Lobuche using the standard Everest Base Camp walk map. We will hike to Everest Base Camp after walking through Gorakshep. We will next travel to Kalapatthar from base camp. You have to ascend a little bit higher than Gorakshep in order to reach this location. The route leads from Kalapatthar to Dzongla. You will travel from Dzongla to Drangnang (Thagnak) via a different pass, Cho La Pass.
We will walk from Drangnang (Thagnak) to Gokyo’s main fifth Lake. After that, we will go via the final pass of the Everest Three Passes trek. After crossing the Renjo La Pass, we will head towards Lungdhen. From Lungdhen, the route connects with the typical EBC trekking trails and continues through Thame to Namche Bazaar. Along the Dudh Koshi paths, continue to Lukla through Phakding, and then retrace your steps back home along the same route. From Lukla, the last step will be to fly back to Kathmandu or Ramechhap.
Our 16-day Everest Three Passes trek has everything you need. We provide for your lodging, meals, transportation, guides, licenses, and other needs. Don’t worry if you need more information about the trip. Here are the specifics of the trip and the essentials you’ll need!
